The spring ring fits most strobe heads up to 4 inches in diameter while the two diffuser panels allow you to easily adjust the softness of the light. The spring ring ensures this Softbox fits right in at any studio. An advantage of an octagonal box is that the catch light in your subject's eyes will be round instead of square.
